Dr. Crowe was trained in A.L.F. therapy by Dr. Darick Nordstrom, founder of A.L.F Orthodontics. Dr. Nordstrom’s philosophy is a refreshing approach to orthodontics that addresses not only crooked teeth but; malocclusion, sleep apnea, jaw-skullbase imbalance, cranial strain, TMJ and a multitude of other conditions. An A.L.F. orthodontist like Dr. Crowe values a holistic approach to each patients condition and is passionate for understanding and treating the underlying causes of dental and cranial conditions.
Dr. Crowe is a proud supporter and provider of ALF orthodontics. He is currently the only recognized ALF provider in the Downtown Chicago Loop area.

In many restorative and cosmetic cases, lithium disilicate, glass ceramic, e.max crowns and veneers are made for anterior teeth. This state of the art technique is done on site with the fabrication, detailing and fitting of these crowns done personally by Dr. Crowe himself.
True to the dental cranial approach, each crown is fabricated with an extreme amount of precision, focusing on not only a beautiful cosmetic finish, but also a structure which promotes proper dental functionality. These cosmetic handmade crowns harbor a balanced and centered jaw position which provides patients with a true feeling of comfort, free from clenching and grinding.
Dr. Crowe is a Fellow of the Misch Institute and a Diplomat of the ICOI. He is a highly trained implantologist that uses dental implants to replace missing teeth and support dental orthotics such as crowns bridges and dentures. Dr. Crowe believes in precise implant placement based on CT scan analysis and all of his implant procedures are completed with extreme care; complemented by properly fitting and fully functional orthotics.
Dr. Crowe makes his own dentures.
He believes that a denture should not only work well but feel comfortable to the patient. By catering to patient’s concerns and desires, Dr. Crowe makes a well-fitting denture that is comfortable, functional and fitting to the patient’s personality, facial structure and cosmetic desires.
TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) disorders are characterized not only by clicking and popping of the jaw but patients can exhibit sharp jaw pains and headaches as well. Another less-known implication of TMJ is gum recession and even tooth loss. As the jaw searches for a position of comfort, the teeth act as a guiding mechanism, creating barriers for pain and anterior/posterior jaw movement. In this vector-determined, compensating process, some teeth can exhibit more impact and force than the other teeth; these teeth subsequently become “beat up” and can show recession, bone loss and in some cases tooth loss.
Dr. Crowe’s approach to TMJ therapy is always personalized. By listening to patient’s desires and concerns we aim to work with patients to solve their TMJ concerns and consequent periodontal and prosthetic issues.
All patient models are articulated and studied with extreme care and professional assessment. A treatment plan is then determined based upon the Doctor’s assessment and patient examination.
Equilibrating procedures bring the jaw to a position of comfort and relieve cranial strains and improper loading forces on teeth.
Dr. Crowe received endodontic training from Dr. Herbert Schilder, creater of the “Warm gutta-percha vertical compaction technique,” a procedure that most of us who have gotten a root canal are familiar with.
Dr. Crowe uses his advanced endodontic training, knowledge of physics and vectors, strain patterns and jaw functionality to help patients save dead or infected teeth.
